Why a pre-shoot and what is a pre-shoot?

 

The pre-shoot is included in your photo package. Although it is a studio session which lasts about 45 minutes, and we give you the negatives, this is part of your wedding package and allows me to spend some quality time with the bride and get to know her and put her completely at ease before the biggest day of her life.

The pre-shoot helps us to become completely familiar with each other and prepares the bride so that she knows exactly what to expect on her wedding day. The pre-shoot shows the bride and photographer how the camera sees the bride. It familiarises the bride with the way the photographer works, it helps us find the best profiles, check the make-up through the camera lens, in short, it provides a host of invaluable information. Both the bride and groom may attend the pre-shoot although I work primarily with the bride. Bridal couples can also choose their "thank you" cards from the pre-shoot photos.

A good photographer sees the wedding day through the eyes of the bride. It is HER day, not the photographer's day, the photographer therefore has to be conscious of what the bride likes. An award winning wedding photograph is often not the the one the bride would choose and that's why the pre-shoot is of cardinal importance.

Dit maak die bruid vertroud met die fotograaf se werkswyse en dit help ons om die beste profiele te bepaal, die grimering deur die lens te evalueer, in kort, dit verskaf 'n massa, onontbeerlike, waardevolle informasie. Beide die bruid en die bruidegom kan die "pre-shoot" bywoon alhoewel ons hoofsaaklik met die bruid werk. Bruidspaartjies kan ook hulle "Dankie" kaartjies uit die "pre-shoot" foto's kies. 'n Goeie fotograaf sien die troudag deur sy bruid se oe en daarom is die "pre-shoot" so belangrik. Dit is die bruid se dag, nie die fotograaf s'n nie.
